Wibli Wobli A Welsh Speaking Nursery
We have created a nurturing environment where your child can flourish while embracing the beauty of the Welsh language.
Your child does NOT need to speak Welsh to join us : most of our families are non-Welsh speaking.
We are the first Welsh language full day-care nursery in Newport and only Welsh option for under 2s. Our staff are Welsh speakers and we immerse children in Welsh language throughout the day.
We are officially recognised by the Welsh Language Commissioner as an organisation providing the ‘Welsh Active Offer’ and have been awarded with the Welsh Promise Gold award by NDNA and Clybiau Plant.
We are also members of Mudiad Meithrin and follow their Welsh Language Policy.
We provide an environment for Welsh speakers to use their language skills in the workplace. We work with local Welsh language schools and colleges and with Cam wrth Gam training provider to employ fluent Welsh language childcare practitioners at Wibli Wobli.
We are also passionate about promoting the Welsh language in the local community. We run free Welsh baby and toddler sessions (Ti a Fi) at the setting and free Welsh classes for adults.
